Sometimes when I'm discouraged, I try to listen to the little voice in me that says, "Be brave." It's quiet and it's small, but it's there.

Falling into Another World

 



This drawing was inspired by the illusion of time stopping while you're reading a really great book. Sometimes, when a book is really good, it's like you're in a free fall, caught between two worlds.

I've always loved the idea of writing and illustrating my own book. Most of all, I want to inspire children and young adults. Many of the books I read in my childhood I treasure now. I think those books helped to shape me into who I am today.
