Marceline the Vampire Queen

Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I was in kind of a Marceline mood yesterday.

Marceline is a character from Cartoon Network's show "Adventure Time." She plays an axe-shaped bass and has a complicated relationship with her dad, the ruler of the nightosphere. I really like her because she's always changing up her look.

I decided to do my own version of Marceline that differs from "Adventure Time"'s animation style. Though Marceline seems pretty tough on the outside, she can be really vulnerable at times. I wanted to portray her vulnerability in my drawing.
